Apply the salicylic acid directly on any pustules rather than applying all over your face.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eIf however you don't experience any spots or pustules, just the lactic acid would be fine.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAvoid using any facial scrubs or sonic brushes when using these or it could cause a breakout, these provide enough exfoliation. The reason I recommend the two is because the salicylic acid works within the pores to clear any blockages and reduces inflammation but it can also be a little drying, using alongside the lactic acid can help prevent the skin from becoming dehydrated. You don't have to use all Bravura products to get results, as long as you cleanse, tone and moisturise with suitable products you can simple choose what you need from the list above.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou may notice I haven't listed any of our acid serums, cleanser or moisturisers, this is because when it comes to acids less is more and it's unlikely you'd need more. What Is Salicylic Acid Peel ?
Salicylic Acid is the key ingredient for restoring purity and clarity to the skin. It is a highly effective chemical exfoliant and an excellent pore cleanser. It works by gently removing old cells from the skin, and may also help to boost collagen production.
Because salicylic acid has a larger molecular structure to Glycolic Acid it stays on the surface of the skin longer giving it fantastic pore clearing capabilities.
If you have surface discolouration from breakouts or sun damage, our salicylic acid works amazingly well in conjunction with our glycolic acid which can help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
How is this good for spots ?
Spots usually occur as hair follicles get clogged by the oil your skin naturally produces. Normally the sebum (natural oil in skin) travels up the hair follicle and out to the surface of the skin. However, when skin cell turnover is slowed, sebum can get trapped within the follicle, bacteria multiply within the clogged pores and so a spot is formed. Using this product regularly helps by removing the old skin cells and the grime that's blocking up pores so stops the spot cycle.
If you have acne- Acne is a medical condition, while salicylic acid is an amazing, well known spot treatment acne often requires prescribed medical treatment. A good, daily skincare routine is important for skin health and skincare products will support your acne treatments but will not treat acne.
How does it reduce blackheads?

This powerful formula also exfoliates to help remove the top layer of dead skin, unblocking pores and regulating oil production.
Are there any side effects?
There is a possibility that you may notice some light flaking or dry patches when you first use the salicylic acid. You may experience some redness but this will fade within a few hours. You skin may also feel slightly itchy while peel treatments are applied to the skin, this is perfectly normal as it's part of the regeneration process as salicylic acid does exfoliate the skin. This product is not designed to physically peel the skin.
Note: If you're worried about having sensitive skin then you may find that you can still use this product, but do conduct a patch test first. If you are pregnant/breastfeeding, allergic to asprin or are worried that this may not be suitable for you then take a look at our Dermaflannel or one of our Alpha Hydroxy Acid AHA's such as glycolic acid or lactic acid which give very similar results. If you are on medication, consult your doctor before use.

All delivery times are taken from the day of dispatch. We always email tracking and it's important to check this daily until your order has been received, delivery workers don't always put an attempted delivery note through the door, if the package is then not collected within a week it is returned to sender. On receipt of your order please check the packaging and contents carefully. If any of your products are damaged or missing please specify this on the delivery note when you sign for the goods.
